Ugliest Uniforms Ever?!

Are these new Adidas uniforms the ugliest of all time? The internet seems to think so, and Texas A& M seems to have gotten the short end of the stick. But what if I told you these uniforms weren't made for you?

Every year, the internet and college sports fans have some hot takes on the latest uniforms, and we're getting some throwbacks to the Zubaz disaster of 2013, but it's an important reminder to know that they are not made for college football fans.

These uniforms are usually designed to attract the eye of recruits and young talent who want the latest and coolest. This is the reason big brands partner with collaborators like Jerry Lorenzo and Fear of God Athletics. While the players get to feel special, this is definitely used as a recruiting tool.

Although sometimes they push the envelope a little too far and the universities push back. Now I think this Indiana example, where the school pulled out of the uniform at the last minute, is an illustration of a few things that are all coming together at the same time during a really turbulent time in college athletics. For one, boosters have more power than they did just a few years ago because their money is what is directly paying the players who are playing for these schools. So these boosters have more of a voice at the table than before when they were just complaining. Other rumors were saying that Jerry Lorenzo's previous connection to Kanye West in light of his tweets last week are what caused them to panic and pull the plug on this.

Regardless, it's not a good look for the university or the partnership with Adidas. Now I think they should take that energy and pull it over to one of the hottest teams in the country and a new Adidas school, Texas Tech, but that's just me.

But just remember, if you're tweeting about uniforms, you are not the target audience. It’s for young recruits who are being recruited by a university. Recruits care deeply about getting to wear cool things. So, if your university gets good players as a result of these, then maybe those uniforms become beautiful.

Book the Trip.
Just came off a week with my family. We finally took our kids skiing. I was dreading the process if I’m honest. Equipment rentals, tons of gear, trekking up mountains, potentially whiny kids who may not like the snow…all that.
Guess what? They loved it. My wife loved it. I loved it.
It was worth it. If you’re like me and struggle to get over the mental hump, let me help you out:
Book the Trip.
You won’t regret it.
